Ok, perhaps I was a bit dramatic, but come on, have you ever found THE perfect Customer Relationship Manager program?!? CRMs are great and provide lots of ways to manipulate your content, but I’ve yet to find the perfect one.
We recently transitioned from a more-generic one to a more-robust one designed especially for a Commercial Real Estate firm that specializes in Tenant Representation (cool how I worked an ad for REATA in there, right?!?). Loving the detail and reports that can be pulled, but other aspects are a bit pedantic.
CRE has been late to the game of using technology in business, but as residential real estate ramps up its effort to do away with the agent (not quite entirely, but wondering if that’s where it’s headed), it’s imperative CRE uses technology and masters it. Residential real estate is streamlining its process from client acquisition to move-in and even after. Recently, the Dallas Business Journal had an article about The Standard Real Estate company and how it plans to move in to “…mortgage, title, moving, design, renovation, construction, landscaping, cleaning, home maintenance, essentially the entire residential services economy.” The use of technology is what is propelling this kind of service.
The brokerage firm that can keep control of all its content through a multi-pronged content data manager will be far ahead of the game and able to maneuver the inevitable changes as they come down the pike.
