The Meadows Building has been a fixture on N. Central Expressway north of downtown Dallas since 1955 when Algus Meadows built it. It was one of the first office buildings outside downtown.
The 9-story building is 167,000 square feet and has been home to many architects, financial services and other professionals over the decades. I have had a few clients lease in the building.
All owners since 1955 have kept it pretty much in its original condition. There is a DART light rail station next to the building now, but otherwise, it looks pretty much the same as it did when Mr. Meadows officed there.
So it will be interesting to see what the new owners, GlenStar Properties and USAA Real Estate, have planned. They have hired JLL to lease the 90% leased building.
